We are so sorry to hear of the death of Stephanie Appleby, wife of John, both dear Friends of St Mary’s.
Stephanie passed away peacefully in the Bristol Royal Infirmary, on Thursday 6th January 2022, aged 82 years.
Stephanie was John’s much loved and adored wife, and she will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.
Colin Dixon tolled Wulfstan, the tenor bell bearing Stephanie’s name, 82 times, after Evensong that day, and some of her family and friends came to listen. Candles were lit and Lisa Overton said some prayers.
A funeral service will be held on Friday 28th January at St Mary the Virgin Church, Hawkesbury (GL9 1BN) at 2pm.
